Raised in a family where his father, a dedicated meat cutter and manager for Lucky grocery stores, instilled values of hard work and perseverance, Steve's path took him from Fair Oaks to South Lake Tahoe, and eventually to Auburn where he graduated from Placer High School.
After enlisting in the U.S. Navy, Steve embarked on a remarkable journey that spanned across England, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Singapore, and Spain. From navigating the Suez Canal to spending Christmas in Bethlehem, his experiences were nothing short of extraordinary. Stationed on the U.S.S. Independence CV 62 Aircraft Carrier during the "Battle at Granada," Steve earned the esteemed designation of a "Veteran of Foreign Wars."
Returning home, he continued to serve in the U.S. Naval Reserves and found love with Sharon, the sister of his childhood friend. Married and settling in Orangevale, Steve's diverse career path, including roles as a postal carrier, motorcycle repair, wine distributor, and more, reflects his versatility.
